Can I get a permanent room?
Yes. You can rent a room up to six months. This gives you the guarantee on a safe workplace for a long period of time on the days you want. After six months, the contract can be renewed. These kind of contracts are called 'permanent contracts'.
The minimum number of days per week for a permanent contract is 5 for most rooms, 4 for some.
During the contract you can go on holiday without having to pay the rent with a maximum of 6 weeks per year.
When you call in sick and we rent your room to someone else, you don't have to pay the rent.
How many hours per day I can work?
You are not allowed to work more than 11 hours per day.
How many days per week I can work?
Our minimal rental periode is one day. You are not allowed to rent more than 6 days per week.
How many days in advance do I have to make a reservation?
You can not book ealier than one month in advance. The later you book, the greater the chance no rooms are available, so book on time!
I'm a transgender sexworker, can I rent a room?
Yes, all people are welcome to rent a room at our office, regardless their gender. Transgender sexworkers are absolutely welcome to rent a room!

Yes, all people are welcome to rent a room at our office, regardless their gender. Male sexworkers are absolutely welcome to rent a room!
How is safety provided?
There is always a supervisor available to give any assistance if needed. All rooms are equipped with multiple (silent and loud) panic buttons and a safe for money and personal belongings. If you press a panic button, a supervisor will be in your room within a matter of seconds or minutes.
The Red Light District in Amsterdam is one of the most safe places to work. Supervisors and police are always around and the number of incidents is close to zero.
What about the other windows I see in the Red Light District?
There are more than 150 windows in the Red Light District in Amsterdam. The windows are owned by 'offices'. Red Light Office Boomsteeg is one of them. Each office has its own windows, own rules and own way of working. You are free to have intakes and rent at as many offices you want.

How do I visit a sexworker?

- If you both agree on the price, service and the method of payment (cash or card), the sexworker will let you in the room.
- You pay for the service.

Do I have to make a reservation to visit a sexworker?
No, you don't have to make a reservation.
How much do the sexworkers charge?
The sexworkers working at our brothel are independent and self employed (ZZP), so they set their own prices. It is totally fine to ask sexworkers the price.
Which services do the sexworkers offer?

Can I visit a sexworker together with my partner?
The sexworkers working at our brothel are independent and self employed (ZZP), so they decide for themselves which services they offer. A threesome can be a service they provide. It is totally fine to ask sexworkers if this is a service they provide.
I'm a woman, can I visit a female sexworker?
The sexworkers working at our brothel are independent and self employed (ZZP), so they decide for themselves which services they offer. Services provided to a person with the same sex as the sexworker can be a service they provide. It is totally fine to ask sexworkers if this is a service they provide.
Do the colors of light have a specific meaning?
The most used color in the Red Light District is red and has no specific meaning. Some transgender sexworkers use the blue light. A lot of sexworkers use a combination of red light with purple UV light. This should not be confused with the blue light some transgender sexworkers use.
In our brothel the sexwokers are free to use any color of the rainbow they want.
The windows are small, where is the service provided?
The window can be the same place as the working room, but sometimes, especially at the canal, the working rooms are in the back of the building or upstairs. Every sexworker has their own private working room.
